  This A&W restaurant (a very small unit, attached to a convenience store, and gas station), has been a favourite early-am (at/about 9 am) stop of ours over the past several years when travelling east to areas via the Hope Princeton Highway.  For us, it has provided a handy, convenient road stop -- for breakfast, gas for the car, and to catch a washroom break.  
  
  The staff here have always been pleasant and friendly, and have handled our order quickly and efficiently.  As we most often do when stopping here for breakfast, we just skip the typical 'breakfast' stuff, and go for burgers -- for the three of us (senior couple and daughter), I usually order four teen burgers (using coupons saved for such trips), so that we each get a whole burger, and share the extra one - and add coffee and cold water for beverages.  The burgers have always been prepared and cooked to our order, so have arrived to our table, hot, fresh, and tasty.  They have always really "hit the spot" with us - maybe that has had something to do with the setting and moment - in beautiful Hope, and heading east to to wonderful areas like Manning Park - but we have often thought these to be 'the' best burgers we've tasted each time we have done breakfast here!  
  
  This A&W Restaurant (with the amenities and offerings of the attached 'Tasty Express'), has always done it's thing for us -- we leave home early, "fill-up" in Hope, and are good to go, and in the perfect mood for the day and travels ahead.

  Manned by the slowest moving staff ever, we waited and waited and then waited some more for the counter person to look our way and then eventually ask if we would like to order something.
  
  We could see 8 orders on the computer screen and noted most of the tables in the small area clear out as two small bagged orders were called. One older woman furiously demanded her teen burger that she'd been waiting for. The reply "oh there's one here" (in the burger warming area).
  
  Although we ordered for here all was bagged.
  
  Be patient.

  We were stuck in the drive thru for 30 mins and the burgers were not a tasty time. 10/10 would not recommend.

  DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Id give this place -1 or 0. Went to drive thru. Lady took awhile to take our order. No hello no sorry. After all that order was taken in. We waited for an hour before we got to the window only to find out my one Chubby Burger Combo isn't cook yet so after an hour of wait it's not even ready!!! We asked if the food is ready girl said probably not and how long it will be the girl said she doesn't know. We decided to leave even though we were at the window ready to pay and leave. Out of all the A&W places this is hell! So sad and upsetting cause A&W is supposed to be prime. If I had connections to the news I will plaster this all over to make sure this restaurant improves. I might call corporate to report this place.

  Absolutely disgusting. Extremely dirty. Garbage can was out while bag was being replaced, which takes several minutes apparently. The smell, the smeared food on the side.....
  The floor was horrible and several tables not cleaned. I was passing through on the way to Vancouver and never again. It is part of a gas station, so, I'm not sure what I was expecting.
